The Elephant and the Ants
Once upon a time, in a dense and beautiful jungle, there lived a mighty elephant named Gajraj. He was the biggest and strongest animal in the forest, and because of his immense size and power, he was also very proud and arrogant. Gajraj loved to boast about his strength and often bullied smaller animals, especially the ants who lived near his favorite resting spot.
Every day, the elephant would stomp around the anthill, crushing the tiny ants under his heavy feet. He would laugh at them and say, "You tiny creatures are so weak and insignificant. You can never harm me!" The poor ants would scurry to safety, but they were tired of being tormented by the giant elephant.
One day, the leader of the ants, a wise and brave ant named Chotu, decided to teach Gajraj a lesson. He gathered his fellow ants and said, "We may be small, but if we work together, we can show the elephant that strength is not just about size. It is about unity and wisdom."
The ants devised a plan. The next morning, as Gajraj was taking a nap under a large tree, the ants quietly crawled up his leg and entered his trunk. Once inside, they started biting him relentlessly. The elephant woke up with a loud roar, shaking his body in pain.
"Ouch! What is happening? Who dares to hurt me?" Gajraj trumpeted in agony as he tried to shake off the ants, but they were too small and too many. Their tiny bites were unbearable, and the once-mighty elephant felt helpless.
"Please stop! Please stop!" he cried. "I promise never to harm you again! I now understand that no one is too small or too weak. Even the tiniest creatures can be powerful when they work together."
Hearing his plea, Chotu and the ants stopped biting and slowly climbed out of the elephant's trunk. Gajraj sighed in relief and bowed his head before the ants. "I have learned my lesson," he admitted humbly. "From now on, I will respect all creatures, big or small."
From that day forward, Gajraj became a kind and gentle elephant. He never bullied anyone again, and he even helped the ants by protecting their anthill from other dangers. The jungle animals rejoiced, for peace had been restored.
Moral of the Story:
Never underestimate others based on their size. Even the smallest beings can be powerful when they work together, and kindness and respect are far greater strengths than brute force.
